Oh my. I so loved this story. . Cinderella is awesome. I love her quick wit.I couldn't tell if it was a modern day or old times setting. Her fighting was awesome I love fairy tales and this one didn't disappoint me. Her interaction with the Prince was great. I don't want to spoil it , but it had twists and turns that kept me glues to my kindle.I so hope she remakes other fairy tales. This story, originally part of the Get Lucky Anthology, features an older heroine as Ellie reluctantly hires Irish traveller Finn to work in her bar. I liked Ellie's character as a feisty, take charge woman who isn't afraid to stand up for herself, but at the same time was willing to give Finn a chance to work his Irish charm on her. I liked Finn's strength of character and charisma and his willingness to look beyond Ellie's tough girl facade and see the vulnerability underneath and want to protect it. There's also a good introduction to Kye, Ellie's friend who features in another story by Nicola called Crossing the Line. 4 stars!
The Get Lucky anthology opens with, Walking the Line by Nicola Marsh. This becomes a Prequel for Marsh's, WORLD APART series. The story opens with Finn, an Irish lad fresh off the boat from County Cork is about to get beat up. Saved by the rough and tumble lad, Kye. For readers of "Crossing the Line," yes, this is the same Kye of that story. Finn has no money and no job, but Kye sets him up with a place to stay and a job. What neither of them counted on was Finn falling in love with his new boss, the older and sexy heroine, the same boss who is falling in love with him.
Love is never easy and Marsh makes sure she puts them both through their paces in order to reach their HEA. But true to herself Marsh makes the journey worth it for the reader.

Laughed my tail off. Ellie's thoughts every time she sees or hears Finn, you can't not laugh. A great read. Plan on reading the whole series because just reading the excerpts of each book, makes you interested in investing your time just relaxing and having a good time.
